Fruit Ninja

Design boards created for a mock Ninja spot with Zach Hixon and Zach Scheibel. Ninja is a brand that produces high quality kitchen appliances such as their premium blenders. We wanted to go for a tactile approach to showcase a fun, memorable aspect of the brand. Ultimately, we combined paper craft and hand drawn illustration to represent effective blade action of Ninja’s blenders.

Paper craft

For this part of the process we got to try paper craft, which ended up being the most fun part of the project. We began by printing out each fruit template on construction paper and origami style, folding each of them into our low poly paper craft fruit guys. This was a meticulous process but once the fruits were made, we shot our fruit guys so we could begin the compositing.
