Headspace - Logo Animation

A logo animation I created for the app Headspace. Headspace is an app that provides sessions of guided meditations to its users, with the goal of mindfulness. When animating this logo I wanted it to feel calm and serene, and incorporate the playful characters Headspace uses in their branding.

Character Exploration

I first began by creating different iterations of faces based off Headspace’s playful characters. Initially, our character was going to go through three stages: anxious, meditative, and then finally a smile of relief. As I started animating, I realized that I wanted to concentrate more on the meditative breathing aspect of Headspace, which eventually influenced the final design. While these lil’ guys didn’t make the final cut, it was still a lot of fun to make them!
